Thank You to Susan for all the time, love and creativity you put into EVERY CLASS you taught us! I can sincerely say that this class,.. has been my favorite out of all the classes I have taken yet far here at LIU. I enjoyed all the icebreakers ideas, useful handouts, your thought of the day book, and just your wonderful upbeat personality and way of being.. You have inspired me with your stories and your amazing trip to the Dominican Republic. Thank you! I am looking forward to another great semester with you and the gang!! Enjoy your break! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!:) Kelly
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest thanks should go to you, Susan! From the very first class you made us all feel so incredibly warm and welcome. This class was truly a class I looked forward to. In all of my years of college this class has been one that I have enjoyed the most. With all of your handouts and positive encouragement I feel more, now than ever, ready to go into the real world and teach. Teaching Digital Natives, and Never Work Harder Than Your Students were interesting and useful books. These texts will serve as tools for me through my career.
ReplyDeleteThe entire class made me feel so warm and welcome. I felt as if I could say anything and everyone would view it with an open mind and heart. For this, I am so incredibly thankful. Even though it wasn't necessary, so many of you brought in deliciously amazing treats during the class time. You made your lessons fun, engaging, and interesting. Each and every one of you blessed me with your knowledge, this makes me a better, more knowledgable person today. For this, I am thankful.
I hope you all enjoy the time you have with your family and friends. This time of year is hectic and exciting. Remember we all have loving classmates to look back on!
Have a great holiday and a happy new year! See most of you, and I hope all of you again, next semester!
Love,
Steph
I will definitely miss this class. I enjoyed going every Tuesday! I have never really been in a class where people are so welcoming, and you come out in the end with such great friends and mentors. I cannot thank everyone enough for making it such a great experience.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I would come home every Tuesday night and tell my parents what an amazing teacher you are. You are the best professor I have ever had. You made all of us feel so comfortable and welcomed in the classroom. You truly are someone I look up to and hope to have the success you have and be able to share with people like you have. You are inspiring.
To everyone ... Looking forward to seeing you all again next semester. Enjoy the break!! we deserve it!! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. Be safe and have fun!!

I know you say that next semester won't be as much fun, but I am certain it will be because you will be the one teaching it. You are an amazing teacher/facilitator and if those evaluations had an above and beyond bubble, you would have received that down the board. I have learned so much from this class and have used every bit of it in the classroom. I thank you for all of the wonderful knowledge you have given me. I hope you had a Merry Christmas and have a wonderful new year. I am looking forward to next semester. See you soon!
